A parade to mark Remembrance Sunday in Bellaghy, Co Derry, was postponed this afternoon due to a security alert.
The PSNI said the event had been held off after a call was received warning that a suspect device may have been left in the area.
The police said a security operation was underway and they asked members of the public to report any suspicious activity.
No claim relating to any suspect device has been made by any organisation, police indicated.
