The Northern Ireland Gay Rights Association has called for the homosexual age of consent to be lowered to 16 years to bring the North in line with Britain. On Monday night the House of Commons lowered the age of consent for gay men from 18 to 16 years in Britain, bringing it into line with the law for heterosexuals.
