An overnight petrol bomb attack on a home in Cookstown may have been racially motivated, police said today.

An overnight petrol bomb attack on a home in Cookstown may have been racially motivated, police said today.

Two men and two women, who are all understood to be Lithuanian, escaped injury when their house in the Millburn Park area was targeted shortly after midnight.

A petrol bomb was thrown at a front window causing scorch damage. A car belonging to one of the male occupants, which was parked nearby, was set also alight.

Detectives have appealed to witnesses to come forward.
