Today's horse racing meeting at Newcastle has been abandoned as the course is waterlogged.
Officials were forced to call off the fixture following an inspection at 6.30 a.m. after more rain overnight.
"We had another 23mm of rain last night so we had no option but to abandon. The course is waterlogged," said clerk of the course James Armstrong.
