Elton - Louise Woodward is prepared to abandon her attempt to win a new trial over the killing of baby Matthew Eappen, her lawyers have told a US court. Her supporters said yesterday that the decision had been forced on the 19-year-old from Elton, near Chester, because of a lack of funds to fight a new hearing.
