Construction is to start on a 10,000 sq ft unit to house the National Auto-turning Training Centre in Ballina. A local developer has agreed terms with FAS with work to start in January. The Government Chief Whip and Minister of State, Mr Jim Higgins, said the development would be a step forward in the industrial and economic life of Mayo. It is expected the first intake of trainees will begin in early summer.
