A new £3.5 million car ferry to serve the Killimer-Tarbert link across the Shannon Estuary was launched by the Minister for Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands, Ms de Valera, at the weekend.
The Shannon Breeze is one of three ferries on the estuary owned by the Shannon Ferries Co, which has maintained a link between Clare and Kerry since 1968.
