PRETORIA - South Africa's seven new cabinet ministers and deputy ministers, all from the African National Congress, were sworn in yesterday, officially ending the National Party's 48 year involvement in government in South Africa.

The deputy ministers include Mr Walter Sisulu's daughter, Ms Lindiwe Sisulu (Home Affairs), and a former secretary general of the South African Catholic Bishops' Conference, Father Smangaliso Mkhatshwa (Education).
