Ms Angela Edgehill, head of administration in the Fine Gael Party offices, has been appointed the new programme manager for the Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications, Mr Lowry.
His former manager, Mr Colin McCrea, resigned during the summer to take up a private consultancy post. He had been on secondment from An Bord Trachtala.
Ms Edgehill is expected to take up duties in the next few weeks.
