The Minister for the Environment, Mr Dempsey, has made five appointments to the board of the National Roads Authority. He reappointed two outgoing members whose term of membership had expired. They are Ms Patricia King, SIPTU, and Mr Peter Langford, chairman, Ove Arup and Partners, Ireland. The three new members are Mr Niall Callan, assistant secretary, Department of the Environment; Mr Brendan McNamara, of Michael McNamara & Co, building contractors, and Ms Connie Ni Fhatharta, Galway County Council.
