A new weekly medical publication, Medicine Weekly, is to be distributed to general practitioners and hospital consultants from August 8th. It will compete with two existing publications, the Irish Medical Times and Irish Medical News.
It will be published by Eireann Publications, which produces other health-care publi cations, and by other undisclosed backers. The editor, Ms Linda Giles, said 6,000 copies of the colour tabloid would be printed.
