A new summer school dealing with the position of women in Irish society, the Countess Markievicz school, will meet for the first time at the Teachers’ Club in Dublin’s Parnell Square on Saturday, June 4th.

Its theme this year is Women in Politics the Media, and speakers will include Norwegian minister Arni Hole, UCD’s Prof Kathleen Lynch and Dr Mary McAuliffe, Dr Elaine Byrne of TCD and Dr Sonja Tiernan of Notre Dame University.
