POTCHEFSTROOM - The leader of a neo-Nazi white extremist group went on trial in South Africa yesterday on an attempted murder charge involving an assault on a black man. Mr Eugene Terre Blanche, head of the Afrikaner Resistance Movement, pleaded innocent to the attempted murder count and a separate charge of assault with intent to commit grievous bodily harm.
