The Naval Service vessel, LE Ciara, yesterday detained an Irish trawler for alleged logbook infringements, 46 miles west of Achill, Co Mayo, and escorted it to Killybegs, Co Donegal. This brings to 31 the total number of fishing vessels detained by the Naval Service this year.
