The Naval Service has seized a British-registered fishing vessel off Cork for an alleged breach of fishing regulations.

The Naval Service has seized a British-registered fishing vessel off Cork for an alleged breach of fishing regulations.

The mainly Spanish crewed fishing vessel was detained some 10 miles north west of Dursey Island, west Cork, late last night.

A spokesman said the vessel is being escorted to Castletownbere, where it is expected to arrive this morning, for inspection by the Department of Marine.
