London - A former nanny, Ms Ros Mark, last night defended her decision to write a book about the Blairs, insisting it was an innocent "social history" which was never meant to hurt the family. In a statement, she said: "The book was written from a social history perspective as an account of an ordinary person living within an extraordinary household environment.

Ms Cherie Blair, a QC, has started a £15,000 legal action against The Mail on Sunday, the nanny and her former literary agent.
