Tennis:World number one Rafael Nadal has withdrawn from next week's Paris Masters for medical reasons. The organisers did not give any further details but said the Spaniard would soon release a statement or hold a news conference.
Nadal reached the semi-finals of the Paris event last year. He was booed when he pulled out injured during his quarter-final match in 2008. A spokesman for Nadal said the French Open, Wimbledon and U.S. Open champion was still travelling to Paris.
