Seoul - North Korea yesterday criticised a joint USSouth Korean military exercise as an "open menace" and "declaration of war".
The war games, codenamed "Foal Eagle", begin today and involve a US aircraft carrier battle group and most of the South Korean and US military personnel in the south, a US military statement said. - (Reuters)
