BANGUI - French troops in armoured vehicles rounded up mutineers from the Central African Republic's army and took them back to barracks yesterday after negotiating a deal to calm a nine day mutiny. French forces based in the republic intervened to support President Ange Felix Patasse, who on Sunday promised the mutineers an amnesty.
