Police in Belfast have begun a murder inquiry after a man died in hospital after an assault last week.

Police in Belfast have begun a murder inquiry after a man died in hospital after an assault last week.

The man (37) died in hospital early yesterday after being attacked at the junction of Victoria Street and High Street on July 2nd.

Police are seeking witnesses to the assault or an attack at the nearby Custom House Square a short time earlier.
