A 15 year old youth was remanded in custody until May 29th at Tralee District Court yesterday, charged with murdering Mrs Ann Marie Duffin, at Curragraigue, Blennerville, Tralee, on April 15th.

Insp Barry O'Rourke made the application for 14 days remand. Mr Michael Kelly, solicitor, said his client consented to such a remand.

Judge Humphrey Kelleher said he could, with the defendant's consent, remand him for 30 days. In the event of the defendant's successful application to the High Court for bail he could then be released. The youth consented. He was also granted free legal aid.

Two prison officers accompanied the youth, whose father was also present.
