THE Tory MP, Sir Nicholas Scott, was "escorted" back to his hotel by police at the Tory Party conference in Bournemouth, it was disclosed last night.

The MP for Chelsea was discovered by officers late on Wednesday in the town's Tregonwell Road, but Dorset police said: "He was not arrested."

The former Northern Iceland minister, who was convicted of drink-driving in March, was found by police late Wednesday after attending a party arranged by the Irish Embassy.
