The jury in the trial of a Mountjoy prisoner accused of murdering another inmate by stabbing him in the heart resumed its deliberations this morning after failing to reach a verdict yesterday.

Declan O'Reilly (28) of Parnell Road, Crumlin, Dublin 12 has pleaded not guilty the Central Criminal Court in Dublin to murdering Derek Glennon (24) on D-wing of the prison on June 25th, 2007.

Mr Justice Kevin O'Higgins sent the jury of six men and six women to a hotel last night after they failed to reach a verdict on the fifth day of the trial.
