A man died after the motorcycle on which he was travelling struck a road sign on the outskirts of Limerick City early yesterday morning.
Mr Ian Keehan (22) of Sarsfield Avenue, Garryowen, was travelling on Childers Road at 4 a.m. when the accident occurred. No other vehicle was involved.
Brian Francis Mooney (16) from Stranocum, Ballymoney, Co Antrim, died after the car in which he was a passenger left the road near Kilrea, Co Derry, at the weekend. Four people were injured, one seriously.
