Mrs Margaret Harrison (32), a Co Limerick mother of two, was found early yesterday morning with gunshot wounds to the stomach. Gardai are awaiting a report from Dr John Harbison, State Pathologist.
A local medical officer, Dr Michael Cleary, informed the gardai after being was called to a house at Ballinacurra. The woman lived there with her two children, aged eight and four years, and her partner.
Supt Michael O'Keeffe confirmed that a note had been found which was relevant to the investigations.
