Mother and children airlifted from NI cliff

A mother and her two young children were airlifted to safety from the base of dangerous coastal cliffs in Co Antrim today.

A mother and her two young children were airlifted to safety from the base of dangerous coastal cliffs in Co Antrim today.

The family had got into difficulties while out walking along the coast near Ballycastle.

The woman and the two children, aged six and ten, were located after their father had raised the alarm at 11.45am.

They were not injured but the police said they had all been badly shaken.
