The Moriarty tribunal, which is due to issue its second and final report shortly, has given a number of parties until February 10th to file submissions on its latest confidential provisional findings.

The tribunal had given an earlier deadline of February 3rd. It is not known how long Mr Justice Michael Moriarty, the tribunal chairman, will spend considering the submissions before he is ready to sign off on his report.

The report will give his findings on matters to do with Tipperary politician Michael Lowry and the mobile phone licence issued to Esat Digifone in 1996.
