Athens - A fresh wave of forest fires hit Greece yesterday after a heatwave of several days saw temperatures rise to 46 degrees Celsius, emergency services said.
A total of six blazes were reported, one of which threatened holiday homes near Kalamos, a suburb north-east of Athens.
