Palermo - Prosecutors on the island of Sicily are investigating how two jailed mafia brothers managed to make their wives pregnant despite harsh regulations forbidding conjugal visits.

They believe that the two men used couriers to smuggle out their sperm. The brothers, Filippo and Giuseppe Graviano, have been in a Palermo prison since 1994. They are accused of mafia bombings in Florence and Rome in 1993 and ordering the killing of a Palermo priest.
