Ms Clare Dempsey (20), from Ballincash, Oulart, was last seen in Enniscorthy on Saturday morning after a night out with friends.

Her body was found by Naval Service divers near the Riverside Hotel on the southern outskirts of the town at about 4.45 p.m.

The body was taken to Wexford General Hospital where a post-mortem will be carried out today. A Garda spokesman said there was nothing "at this stage" to indicate foul play. Ms Dempsey was one of a family of 10 sisters and four brothers.
