WASHINGTON - The Pentagon yesterday discounted the theory that TWA Flight 800' was shot down by a missile. Eyewitnesses reported a streak of light in the sky before the explosion that the Paris bound Boeing plunging into the sea off New York, killing all on board. The Pentagon said the aircraft exploded just beyond the 4 range of a shoulder fired missile.
