Facilities at the redeveloped Limerick Regional Hospital will match those not just in Ireland, but anywhere in the world, the Minister for Health and Children, Mr Cowen, said yesterday. The Minister was laying the foundation stone for the £14.3 million development at the hospital.

Building work commenced in August and is expected to be completed in April 1999. The total cost will be about £26 million.
