Pristina - The chief prosecutor of war crimes in Yugoslavia, Ms Carla Del Ponte, opposes any deal to give President Slobodan Milosevic immunity if he quits as Yugoslav leader and said yesterday she was preparing more indictments.

"The stability of the Balkans will be [best served] if Milosevic is brought to justice at The Hague," Ms Ponte, who heads the International Criminal Tribunal for former Yugoslavia (ICTY), said in the Kosovo capital, Pristina.
