A call for the reintroduction of the broadcasting ban on the "apologists for violence" was made by Fine Gael MEP John Cushnahan yesterday.
Mr Cushnahan said the latest atrocity, combined with Mr Adam's admission that "the peace process is over", required a new security emphasis in the policy of both governments.
"Our own government should send a clear message to those responsible by reintroducing the broadcasting ban to indicate that we will no longer tolerate listening to apologists for violence on our broadcast media."
