Two men were jailed yesterday for riotous behaviour in different areas of Belfast during the Drumcree stand off last month

Two men were jailed yesterday for riotous behaviour in different areas of Belfast during the Drumcree stand off last month. Edward Horner (26), from Sunninghill Gardens, and Thomas McManus (46), of Harding Place, both Belfast, were sentenced to six and four months respectively.

Both men pleaded not guilty and were later granted bail to appeal.

David Vance (19), of Glenlea Park, Belfast, who admitted riotous behaviour in east Belfast, was sentenced to three months in jail suspended for three years.

Andrew Wilson (21), of Queen Victoria Gardens, north Belfast, was also sentenced to three months, suspended for three years, for riotous behaviour at Skegoniel Avenue.
