Three men, two from Dublin and one from Meath, were remanded in custody with consent to bail at a court in Monaghan on charges relating to a scenes of crimes in the Border area. All three men are to appear in court in Cootehill, Cob Cavan, on Tuesday.
Mr Jason Glennon (18), Whitestown Avenue, Dublin, was charged with robbing Mr Stephen McGovern, Main Street, Newtowngore, Co Leitrim on October 27th, 1995.
Mr Jason O'Connor (18), Whitechapel Avenue, Clonsilla, was charged with dangerous driving, damaging a Garda patrol car and possessing a vehicle without the owner's consent at Cootehill, Co Cavan, on January 4th, 1996.
Mr Stephen Darby (21), Navan, Co Meath, was charged with stealing a shotgun at Carrigallen, Co Leitrim, on October 21st, 1995.
