Two businessmen last night attacked a decision to stop them placing a job advertisement for "hardworking and enthusiastic" staff - because of fears the terms could contravene anti-discrimination guidelines protecting disabled jobseekers.

Mr Jason Pitt and Mr Bill Wood described the ruling - made on the basis that the words "hardworking" and "enthusiastic" are subjective and may go against equal opportunities guidelines - as political correctness gone mad.
