Several men have been arrested in Lurgan, Co Armagh, in connection with the discovery of a Mark 16 mortar and launcher, and other ammunition, in the town last week. The arrests were made when eight houses in the Kilwilkie estate were searched by the RUC early yesterday morning.
Three loyalists, who were arrested on Monday in Markethill, Co Armagh were still being questioned yesterday at Gough barracks in Armagh.
