THE Dublin Green MEP, Ms Patricia McKenna, has alleged that the US and French governments have been enjoying "a cosy relationship" regarding French nuclear testing.
Ms McKenna said yesterday that President Clinton must stand accused of "immense hypocrisy" over the issue. Mr Clinton had publicly opposed the tests and said recently that he was glad they were over. However, she claimed, the US weapons industry has been sharing the results of the tests.
Ms McKenna called on the Tanaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs to make a strong protest to the US and France over military co operation.
