Radioactive pollution from Sellafield has again reached alarming levels, the Green MEP Ms Patricia McKenna said yesterday. Data just published from British Nuclear Fuels' environmental monitoring programme showed that levels of the radionuclide technetium 99 in seaweed off West Cumbria doubled between the end of last year and the first three months of 1997, she said.
