McDowell appoints Deputy State Pathologist

Dr Michael Curtis has been appointed as the new Deputy State Pathologist.

Dr Michael Curtis has been appointed as the new Deputy State Pathologist.

The Minister for Justice, Mr McDowell, announced the appointment this afternoon.

The appointment follows the retirement of Prof John Harbison from the position of State Pathologist and the appointment of the former Deputy State pathologist Dr. Marie Cassidy to that position.

Dr. Curtis took up his position yesterday. He had been working for the State Pathologist's Office in Northern Ireland.
