President Mary McAleese will open a new 50-apartment housing project in Dublin later today.
The centre is designed to meet the needs of people who require specific assistance in regard to accommodation and lifestyle.
It has 50 apartments - 27 for single people and 23 for families. Also included is a water garden and a wisdom centre, which will facilitate holistic and other training programmes.
