President Mary McAleese is to make a three-day visit to Austria later this month.
The head of state's itinerary includes meetings with President Heinz Fischer and Chancellor Wolfgang Schussel.
Mrs McAleese will also meet members of the Irish community in Vienna and address a business breakfast hosted by Enterprise Ireland.
Mrs McAleese will visit the church of St Gall and attend a concert by the Viennese Symphony Orchestra.
Her trip to Austria was approved by the Cabinet last week. The president has visited the Middle East, the United States and southern Africa during 2006.
