Minister Enterprise, Trade and Employment Micheál Martin is today starting a trade visit to Barcelona.
Mr Martin will attend the Mobile World Congress 2008 where 20 Irish telecoms firms will showcase their latest products and services.
"Ireland is widely recognised as a centre of excellence for the development of mobile and wireless technologies," said an Enterprise Ireland spokesman.
Enterprise Ireland visits are also planned to Vienna, Austria, and New Delhi, India, next week.
