A man being held on a charge of killing his neighbour does not wish to apply for bail, a court was told yesterday. Mr Damien Hannigan (28), of Griffith Road, Finglas, Dublin, appeared in Dublin District Court accused of the manslaughter of Mr Christopher Farrell (42), at Griffith Road on January 23rd.

Ms Fiona Brennnan, defending, said there was no application for bail but Mr Hannigan wished to be served with a book of evidence as soon as possible.

Judge Gerard Haughton remanded the defendant in custody to appear again on February 27th.
