THE Joint Managerial Body, which represents the management bodies of secondary schools, has overwhelmingly rejected the latest Programme for Competitiveness and Work proposals on teacher promotions.

More than 90 per cent of its school managements voted against the proposals, which lay down seniority as the determining criteria for appointment to the promotion posts of assistant principal and special duties teacher.
