The North Tipperary County Manager, Mr John McGinley, faces a vote of no confidence in the council tomorrow if he proceeds with plans to lay off six workers. The manager has told the council that he does not have the money to keep the men employed because of over expenditure last year.

However, the Labour TD, Mr John Ryan, said yesterday: "If the manager comes in on Friday and lets workers off I will be proposing a vote of no confidence in him."
