A drug addict was arrested when he tried to rob the same shop twice in a fortnight, Dublin Circuit Criminal Court was told.

A drug addict was arrested when he tried to rob the same shop twice in a fortnight, Dublin Circuit Criminal Court was told.

Garda Rory Corcoron caught James Kavanagh at Noel's Grocery Store at Stoneybatter on February 16th.

Kavanagh (29), of Smithfield Terrace, Dublin, pleaded guilty to charges of robbery and attempted robbery of the shop owner Mr Noel Lynch.

Judge Patrick Smith said he wanted to study the reports on Kavanagh and held him in custody for sentence on July 1st.
