A 25-year-old man remains in a critical condition in Connolly Memorial Hospital this morning following a shooting at a house in Fortlawn Park, Blanchardstown, early yesterday.

A man called to the house about 5.30am and shot his victim in the neck before escaping on a motorcycle.

The scene at Fortlawn Park is sealed off today and a technical examination is underway.

Garda are also examining a motorcycle found on fire at Sheepmore Grove shortly after the shooting.

Gardai at Blanchardstown have appealed for witnesses to contact them on 01-6667000.
