Man stabbed in head in Co Meath

A man is to undergo surgery today after being stabbed in the head in Duleek, Co Meath, last night.

A man is to undergo surgery today after being stabbed in the head in Duleek, Co Meath, last night.

The man, who is in his 30s, was injured in a row with another man at around 10.45pm. A youth (17) has been arrested.

The victim was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, and then to Beaumont Hospital in Dublin, where his condition is described as serious.

The youth is being held is at Navan Garda Station.
